Facts about American Oil.
In the early 1970's, My father moved us to Fairbanks Alaska, so he could work on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. The pipline when completed, carried 1.2 million barrels of oil, from the North Slope to Valdez. It started pumping in 1977, ata pressure of 1500 psi. Today, 30 plus years later, it still pumping at 1500 psi, at a rate of 1.1 million barrels per day. It hs been said that there is a shortage of oil, I remember the "Energy Crisis", It was not a crisis. Why is it that we can make synthetic oil, oil from coal, garbage, and shail, just to name a few, but, we can't us the resources that we have? Did you know that, there is enough oil on the North Slope of Alaska, to meet th needs of the United States,for the next 200 years.
Whyis it that we must look to other sources, for our oil needs? Why can't we use what we have? It is not the oil companies' fault. They are told they cannot drill for oil. Why? Who says? Who is it that tells the oil companies they cannot drill? Why is it that Congress will not pass the bills needed for them to drill? By the way, when th Pipeline was built, there was enough space for2 additional pipelines right on the same corridor. So what is stoppig the construction of the 2 pipelines?
